The Cat and The Canary recently took over one of our workshops, with it’s gothic horror comedic set and beautiful show floor.
A fabulous co production with Told by an Idiot and Chichester Festival Theatre bought to life with a set designed by Angela Davies that had hidden plots and twists throughout. From the interchangeable trucks through the central bookcase platforms to hidden climbing platforms and concealed access doors and other surprises.
Chichester Festival Theatre have recently been awarded the UK Theatre Award for Excellence in Sustainability and this was evident right from the start of this build. Numerous parts of old sets turned up to be reused and recycled within this production including a very large CYC cloth that had seen better days and we were allowed the time to transform and rebuild to work some of these pieces into this production.
Our set provided elements of “deliciously terrifying secrets” for the cast to make use of.
