sustainable set construction & scenic art
Mi Workshops is dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our scenic design and set construction services. We take responsible action in every project by reusing materials, recycling, and supporting community initiatives like Escape Arts and local colleges. All metal waste is recycled, cardboard packaging is repurposed in our scenic rooms or taken to the local recycling centere, and we use FSC or PEFC certified wood.
At Mi Workshops, we specialize in refurbishing old stage sets, bringing new life to vintage theatre and opera sets through expert repainting and restoration. Our commitment to sustainable practices ensures that each set is built to last for decades, contributing to a circular economy in the creative industries.

RESPONsible sustainability
Mi are committed to finding ways in which we can reduce the impact of our work and are taking responsible action every day and in every project build. This includes the reuse of materials where possible, recycling and giving waste materials to community projects such as Escape Arts and the local colleges. All our metal waste goes to the scrapyard, cardboard packing is bundled up and either used in the scenic rooms or taken straight to recycling at our local centre and we endeavor to use wood that is all FSC or PEFC certified.
Mi thrives on the refurbishment of an old stage set, the secrets and skills in repainting and patching a matriarch of an old theatre or opera set and bringing these back to life for use for the next decade.
