La Bohéme

The art of using a small scale model of a theatrical design, and transforming this into a large scale set is something Mi Workshops do every week of the year and this one was a delight to work on.

Designer, Sarah Beaton, created miniature pieces, an artists atelier (studio/workshop) which transforms into the artists garret with slick movements during the performances.

La Boheme for Longborough Festival Opera was a ‘gentle’ set design, with creative and effective use of scenery and scenic carpentry. Each piece was cleverly complimented by the skill of lighting designer Colin Grenfell who created beautiful shadows that worked with the main actors and drama.
